Our recent roof installation project in Franklin, TN began after the homeowner experienced significant storm damage that compromised their aging asphalt shingle roof. Several shingles were lifted and torn away by high winds, exposing the underlayment and creating active leaks in multiple areas. After a thorough inspection, we determined a full roof replacement was the safest and most cost-effective solution.
Our team carefully protected the landscaping and exterior of the home before beginning the tear-off process, removing all existing shingles, underlayment, flashing, and damaged decking down to the bare roof deck.
Once exposed, we inspected the decking for soft spots and replaced any compromised plywood to ensure a solid foundation. We then installed new synthetic underlayment for superior moisture protection, upgraded drip edge along the eaves and rakes, and applied ice and water shield in all vulnerable areas including valleys and around roof penetrations.
