Roof Inspection Phase:
After a hail event occurred on May 20, 2025, customer reached out to our sales rep due to squirrels entering the attic area. A roof inspection was scheduled and conducted by our team. The squirrel entry was located and metal mesh was installed over the entry point. Upon inspection, we informed them that we found extensive hail damage to the roof shingles, gutters, and patio cover. The homeowner was unaware of the storm damage prior to our inspection.
Our Recommendation
After identifying hail damage on all slopes of this roof a complete roof replacement was recommended. Our representative outlined the insurance claim process and the homeowner filed a claim with their homeowner’s insurance due to the storm damage.
Our Solution
Our representative met with the insurance company and pointed out all damages found on the roof, gutters, and aluminum patio cover. We submitted the photo report and Xactimate estimate to the customer’s insurance company.

A full roof replacement for the roof, gutters, and awning/patio cover was approved by insurance due to the hail damage.
Code upgrades were required behind the chimney and a cricket/saddle was built to allow water to shed around the chimney. During removal it was noted that the roof decking was in poor condition in several areas.
We replaced 20 sheets of plywood on the roof prior to installing the new roof shingles. We removed the existing roofing system and installed a new CertainTeed Landmark Moire Black architectural shingle system.

Final Results
The roof was replaced with beautiful Certainteed Landmark Moire Black shingles providing long lasting protection for this customer’s home. We requested deprecation be released after all repairs were completed and the customer received their manufacturer warranty from Certainteed.
